First Review of the Game Hummer: Badlands Online

So someone’s finally seen, and actually played!, the new console game “Hummer: Badlands”, where players get to take command of a variety of Hummer and do battle. I think.

Here’s what the reviewer had to say about the game’s gameplay:

The Hummer H3 comes to Russia, ready to take on the frigid Winter and what else falls in its path. Say Hello, Comrade!

The Hummer Goes Over Big in Japan

Glad to see someone’s enjoying the Hummer, especially foreign celebrities. Looks like the Japanese rich and famous are going Hummer crazy!

The streets of central Tokyo are thronged with countless high-end automobiles, but one model above all others stands out from the crowd. Two meters high and 2.1 meters wide, with a mean, military-style mien, the Hummer H2 is hard to miss among the massed ranks of Toyotas, Nissans, Beemers and Mercs.

It’s a Bird, it’s a Plane, it’s the Hummer H8!

Well, no, it’s not really a new product from GM Hummer, but rather a self-righteous parody of the Hummer trucks by the guys over at hummerh8.com. As a Hummer owner, I have a sense of humor, so I don’t mind linking to these anti-Hummer assholes at all.

I thought what they had to say about this fake H8 was pretty funny, too:

Geiger Hot-Rods the Hummer H3 up to 325 Horses

“German-based American-car tuner Geiger has worked its magic on the Hummer H3, turning the rugged-looking but underachieving off-roader into a muscular mover.

A supercharger is a prime ingredient in Geiger’s tuning kit, boosting output on the H3′s anemic 3.5-liter five-cylinder to 325 horsepower and bumping torque to 320 pound-feet. Top speed climbs to 130 mph, while 0-60-mph acceleration is trimmed to less than 8.4 seconds…”
