Is the Hummer H4 on its Way? Possibly.

Analysts are thinking that General Motors, the company behind the Hummer line of vehicles, may dump its TrailBlazers line by the year 2010 and offer consumers a Hummer H4 instead, which, according to analysts, would arrive at your local Hummer dealer by 2009.

So what would the H4 be all about? According to analyst Rebecca Lindland, the H4 wuold “probably be built from a smaller version of the H3 chassis”, and it’s main competition would be the DaimlerChrysler AG’s Jeep Wrangler.

This is good news and bad news. It’s bad news for those of us who were drawn to the Hummer because of its hulking size in the first place, but good news for people who likes the idea of “driving a Hummer” but not necessarily the size of it. Personally, I don’t like the road the Hummer is headed.

They are basically domesticating a monster with every new version. Why, I ask?
